Doing good, together.
The Center for Community Engagement connects the resources and talents of the university, people and communities, and facilitates connections and partnerships to support impact-driven and community-centered research, teaching and service that advances the public good.
What is community engagement?
Community Engagement describes mutually beneficial, collaborative partnerships between the university and the community beyond academia that contribute to the public good.
Community-engaged Scholarship
As a public research university, our academic work includes research, teaching, and service that benefits the community. Our Center supports community engagement in each of these scholarly areas.
Good Neighbor Day
Each year, Good Neighbor Day partners support up to 20 community-nominated projects that bring Marylanders together in a hands-on effort to do good across College Park our and surrounding communities.
