Dr. Wendy Wagner is the Director of Faculty Engagement for the Center for Community Engagement at the University of Maryland, College Park. In this role, she collaborates with administrators, faculty, and community leaders to shape strategic community engagement initiatives across the University's colleges and schools, sustaining a culture of ethical community engagement in teaching and research partnerships.
With over 15 years experience facilitating campus-community partnerships, she specializes in initiating and building faculty-community relationships, leading professional development programs and workshops to enhance student learning through community engagement, preparing community partners for university partnerships, and assessing student learning and community impact.
Wendy earned a PhD in College Student Personnel from the University of Maryland in 2011. Her scholarly focus is on college student learning and development in the areas of civic engagement and socially responsible leadership. Wagner has co-authored several books and peer-reviewed research articles on college student leadership development, service-learning, and faculty development. A few of these include:

Wendy grew up in Wyoming, but has called Washington, DC her much-beloved home for 25 years. She has three kids, the perfect dog, and enjoys neighborhood festivals, live music, trail running, camping, beaching, and hammocks.
