Location: Edward St. John Learning & Teacher Center, Room 0201

Community and client-based learning are forms of experiential learning that connect students with external partners to apply course concepts, solve real-world challenges, and develop professional skills.

In this workshop, you will explore community and client-based partnerships and learn how to design these experiences so they are structured, ethical, and impactful.

We will discuss strategies for building partnerships, preparing students for professional collaboration, and using reflection and assessment to enhance learning. The Center for Community Engagement will also share ways they can help you bring these opportunities to your courses.

Facilitated by:

  • Louisa Nkrumah, Teaching Learning Transformation Center
  • Wendy Wagner, Director of Faculty Engagement, Center for Community Engagement
