Amy Caballero

Coordinator for Community Partnerships

Amy Caballero is the Community Partnerships Coordinator at the Center for Community Engagement. With her background in social work and bilingual education, she uses her skills to further advance the Center’s mission. With special interest in community building, Amy works to continue developing and fostering partnerships with external organizations, to support community needs through advocacy efforts, and identify collaboration opportunities.

Amy has an extensive college career, earning two bachelors degrees in Spanish Language and Literature from Towson University and Social Work from University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). She continued on to pursue her Masters in Social Work at the University of Baltimore (UMB) where her interests started to shift from micro-level work to macro-level work. During her time at UMBC and UMB, she was an active member of the Universities at Shady Grove (USG) community, serving on the student board for the Social Worker Student Association as Vice President and a member of the Healthcare Initiative Foundation (HIF) graduate cohort which led to her being the recipient of The Universities at Shady Grove Award for UMB’s Class of 2024.

Outside of professional pursuits and interests, Amy is currently going through a bird watching phase and falling in love with reading all over again with a fixation on thrillers.
